Digidesign unveils 003 Rack+ Factory interface

In addition to previewing the newest version of its professional audio software, Pro Tools 8, Digidesign has also introduced a new audio interface. The 003 Rack+ Factory is designed for users that need extra mic preamps for recording projects.

The 003 Rack+ Factory includes eight built-in mic preamps — that’s double the amount in the 003 Factory. The new audio interface also has the ability to include digital connections, increasing the number of available preamps.

You can use the ADAT connection to add eight inputs from an A/D converter and an additional two channels of S/PDIF.

The 003 Rack+ Factory is available for pre-order for $1695 and includes a free upgrade to Pro Tools 8 when it’s released.
