Soghoian's AppleScript 1-2-3 book now available

Peachpit Press has announced the long-awaited release of AppleScript 1-2-3, a new book penned by Sal Soghoian and Bill Cheeseman. The book will be in retail stores on January 14, 2009 for $49.99; it goes on sale for ordering online today.

Soghoian is Apple’s Product Manager for Automation Technologies, and in his role he’s closely involved with AppleScript’s development. Cheeseman is an automation software developer and author of Cocoa Recipes for Mac OS X.

The book was written based on ideas and scripts created from hands-on seminars taught during Macworld Expo. It requires no prior knowledge of AppleScript or programming, according to Peachpit.

The Peachpit Web site will feature a daily “Tip of the Day” from Cheeseman during Macworld Expo; the book will also be available in Peachpit’s booth at the show (812).
