Expo: Eye-Fi unveils iPhone app

Eye-Fi, which makes a wireless memory card for digital cameras, announced Monday that it is developing a new iPhone application. It is previewing the new app at Macworld Expo this week—you can find the company at booth 3315 in the North Hall.

Eye-Fi's memory cards enable SD-capable cameras to send their images to a computer or directly to the Internet using Wi-Fi, without having to tether the camera to a Mac or PC using a USB data cable. The company sells cards ranging from $79 - $129, each with different capabilities and features.

The new iPhone application lets you aggregate your photos—either from the iPhone or a digital camera—into folders on a computer and to one of 25 different supported photo sharing and social networking Web sites. The app will be released on the App Store for free.
