Briksoftware on Monday announced the release of Snapplr, a new utility that replaces Mac OS X’s built-in screenshot capabilities with a system that emphasizes online sharing. It costs €19.99 (US$25.84); a free trial version is available for download.
Snapplr uploads screenshots to the Snapplr.com Web site; the image’s URL is saved to your Clipboard so you can share screenshots with other users quickly and easily. Snapplr features “Live,” which lets you select an area such as a screen or window, to get a URL which takes a fresh screenshot on demand. Each time the user viewing the image hits “reload” in their browser, a new screenshot is sent.
You can also send screenshots via e-mail, save them to files, take delayed screenshots and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
