Silver Efex Pro plug-in updated for Lightroom 2

Nik Software updated its black and white Silver Efex Pro photo plug-in, adding compatibility with Adobe's Photoshop Lightroom 2.

Silver Efex Pro contains a collection of 18 emulated black-and-white film types and a "grain engine" that the company says mimics the traditional silver halide process to create black and white photos. The plug-in also has controls to make changes in tonality, contrast and structure.

Like the rest of the workflow in Lightroom, edits made with the plug-in are non-destructive, so you can always go back to your original photo.

Silver Efex Pro is available as a free update for registered users. For new users it costs $199.95.
