The DXG-A80V is part of DXG’s new Pro Gear line, which is targeted, “specifically to the technology and functionality needs of experienced video takers, yet are intuitive and affordable so novice users can film like pros in no time,” said DXG VP Paul Goldberg in a statement.
The camcorder uses the H.264 format and videos are saved as MOV files to SD cards. The camcorder also has 128MB of built-in memory.
The DXG-A80V has a 5X optical zoom and an “electronic image stabilizer. The camcorder has a HDMI port and an HDMI cable for connecting to HDTV, and AV port for connecting to a TV via Composite video, and a USB 2.0 port for connecting to a Mac or PC.
DXG says the DXG-A80V is available now, but the company did not have a product page on its Web site when this article was written.
