Mini me

This week's roundup of iOS accessories includes several new keyboard cases for your iPad mini, batteries, tools for DJs, and much more.

Goal Zero

The $80 Lighthouse 250 is a camping lantern that charges itself via solar power or using a built-in hand crank. What’s this got to do with iOS? The device also features a USB port for charging your handset on the go. GoalZero will ship the product in the fourth quarter of this year.

iFixIt

The $25 iPhone 4S Revelation Kit lets you remove the back panel of your iPhone and replace it with a transparent panel, so all your friends can marvel at its inner workings. The replacement panel includes camera lens, flash diffuser, and bezel, so your phone will work as it always has.

iWalk

Two new products from this company: The Link series of backup batteries are pocket sized and ready to plug in when you need more power; depending on your iPhone model, the price ranges from $45 to $65. The $70 Chameleon (pictured) is a battery case for the iPhone 5 that provides 9.5 hours of additional talk time.

Heart Rate Watch Company

The $130 iPhone 5 Ultimate Bike Computer features both a speed/cadence sensor and a heart monitor, each of which uses Bluetooth technology to transmit data to the iPhone 5 mounted on yoru bike’s handlebars, letting you track your data while you climb hills in pursuit of your very own yellow jersey.

Kensington

The $70 KeyCover Hard Shell Keyboard for iPad mini features a Bluetooth keyboard and a magnetic stand to display your tablet in portrait or landscape orientation. The aluminum shell protects your device from drops and other accidents.

Logitech

The $90 Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini is designed to expand your tablet’s functionality while still letting it maintain its lovably slim profile. Yes, there’s a Bluetooth keyboard, but the device is still just three-quarters of an inch thick.

Native Instruments

The $20 Traktor DJ Cable is a quality audio splitter for iPad, iPad, or laptop, letting DJs pre-listen to the next track while still running the master track for the audience.

Nimblstand

The $50 Nimblstand is a piece of lightweight plastic that attaches your Apple Wireless Keyboard (not included) to your iPad, making one seamless package that can be used at home, in the office, or as a laptop-style device on the road. A version that includes a Wacom Bamboo Stylus is available for $67.

Odoyo

The $99Power+Shell EX is a battery case for the iPhone that offers 2,200 mAh of power, giving you an additional eight hours of talk time. A kickstand makes watching videos and surfing the web easier and more enjoyable.

Wacom

The $100 Intuous Creative Stylus (which we took an in-depth look at) is compatible with popular creative apps such as Autodesk SketchBook Pro for iPad, ArtRage, Bamboo Paper, ProCreate, and Psykopaint. It communicates pressure information with your iPad using Bluetooth technology, giving you a range of 2,048 pressure levels when drawing.
