Getting Canned

The Trash can, formerly a fixture on the desktop, now is situated at the far-right end of the Dock. Annoyingly, this means that you never know exactly where on your screen you can expect to find it. When you drag a removable disk, CD, or DVD to the Trash, the icon changes to an oversize disk-eject icon. You can still use the command-delete keystroke to send items to the Trash, or command-E to eject a disk (command-Y has been decommissioned).
