SmartDisk expands FireLite external drive line

SmartDisk Corp. on Wednesday announced three new editions of its FireLite external portable hard disk drive line: The FireWire 800 FireLite 80GB, FireWire FireLite 100GB and USB FireLite 100GB. Equipped with magnesium cases and weighing about 6 ounces, the hard drive works without any additional drivers on Mac OS X and Windows operating systems. The Web site had not been updated with new information about the drives as MacCentral posted this article. Prices for existing FireLite drives ranged from US$159.99 to $249.99 depending on capacity and interface.
