Aspyr: Call of Duty United Offensive ships Nov. 22

Aspyr Media Inc. on Thursday announced that Call of Duty: United Offensive has gone gold master -- the last step before a game is put into duplication. This expansion pack for the first-person World War II-era shooter Call of Duty is scheduled to begin shipping on November 22, 2004. This follows the PC release of this new expansion pack only by about two months -- United Offensive shipped for Windows in mid-September.

Call of Duty: United Offensive expands the original game with 13 new single-player missions and 11 new multiplayer maps, new weapons, player abilities and special effects not seen in the original Call of Duty. United Offensive adds three new campaigns that put players in the role of American British and Russian soldiers alike during crucial events in World War II including the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Kursk.

As an expansion pack, United Offensive requires the original Call of Duty to run. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, G4/867MHz or faster; 256MB RAM, 1.4GB free hard disk space, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive. Call of Duty: United Offensive costs $29.99.
