Apple releases AirPort 4.1

Apple on Monday released AirPort 4.1, an update to the drivers for its wireless networking hardware running under Mac OS X v10.3. AirPort 4.1 is available for download from the Software Update system preference pane, and more information is available online.

"This software update provides improved AirPort wireless networking software, and is recommended for all users with an AirPort Extreme and AirPort enabled computer or an AirPort Extreme or an AirPort Express base station," said Apple.

Changes in this release include support for Keyspan's recently announced Express Remote for use with AirTunes and an AirPort Express hub. Support for WPA security on WDS networks has also been added, and USB printers connected to a base station can now be renamed.
