Westinghouse offers $300 widescreen 17-inch LCD

Westinghouse Digital on Thursday announced the availability of a 17-inch widescreen LCD monitor that's compatible with Macs and PCs. The display features native resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and uses a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) connector to attach to the computer. The LCM-17w7 display is encased in a white chassis with silver trim, and retails for US$299.

The LCM-17w7 touts 400 cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 600:1. Westinghouse says the display has a 170-degree viewing angle and a response time of 10-15 milliseconds. It's also compatible with 100mm VESA wall mounts. Westinghouse indicates the LCM-17w7 is now available at retailers nationwide.
