EndNote 9 adds Spotlight support, more

Thomson ResearchSoft on Tuesday announced the release of EndNote 9 for Mac OS X, a new version of its bibliographic management software. The new version adds Spotlight support for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger” users and makes other changes.

EndNote 9 improves connectivity to online data sources, and features optimized performance for sorting, importing and exporting large reference libraries. You can connect to native language libraries using new Machine Readable Catalog (MARC) formats and text standards.

EndNote 9 works with Microsoft Word X and Microsoft Word 2004, and can scan Rich Text Format (RTF) files created by many different Mac word processors. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.6 or later, PowerPC 450MHz or faster, 180MB hard disk space at 256MB RAM, Internet connection to search Internet databases.

EndNote 9 can be ordered online for US$299.95 for the boxed version, $239.95 for the downloadable version. Upgrades from previous version cost $99.95 for the boxed upgrade, or $89.95 for the downloadable version.
