'VoiceStick' VoIP phone goes Mac

i2Telecom International Inc. on Monday announced the launch of a Mac version of its VoiceStick “softphone,” a Voice over IP (VoIP) service that enables users to make telephone calls from anywhere in the world using a Mac laptop or desktop computer. VoiceStick runs on Mac OS X v10.3 or later, and features the same capabilities as its Windows-based equivalent, according to the company.

The VoiceStick software works in conjunction with a rate plan system that ranges from US$0.99 to $24.99 per month, depending on where you want to call. i2Telecom also offers a service called “i2Bridge” that enables VoiceStick users to use their VoiceStick calling plan from any phone, including mobiles, home land lines and work phones.
