Black Diamond leather case debuts for nano and iPod

Pacific Rim Marketing on Friday announced a new leather case for the video iPod and iPod nano called the Santa Fe “Black Diamond.” It costs $44.95 for the iPod version — the iPod nano version is available starting at $39.95.

The Black Diamond is made from calfskin and comes with a “D” ring sewn into the back of the case — each case comes with a black carabiner clip and a short silver pleated chain woven with leather, so you can either attach it to a backpack, belt loop, briefcase or handbag, or carry it freely.

Pacific Rim Marketing also includes its “Opticover,” a two-piece protective film cover for the iPod. Made of urethane, the Opticover protects the iPod from scratches and dings.

The iPod nano variation is available with an “iLanyard” for $49.95; Pacific Rim Marketing also makes a “Commuter Style” wallet with earbud pouch for $49.95.
