Sun brings NetBeans to Intel Macs

Sun Microsystems has released a Universal Binary “free preview version” of NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5, its Java development platform for enterprise architects and programmers. Sun has created NetBeans Enterprise Pack to help create Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications.

Previously available as part of the Java Studio Enterprise development environment, NetBeans Enterprise Pack 5.5 includes visual SOA design features for XML schema editing and Web Services Orchestration. It supports the Unified Modelling Language (UML) 2.0 specification, bi-directional model to code synchronization and markerless code generation. Sun has also included a preview release of the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 Software Development Kit (SDK).
