DLO offers limited edition U2 iPod case

On Tuesday Apple introduced the new U2 Special Edition iPod — a variation on its 30GB fifth-generation video-capable iPod in black and red trim, with the autographs of U2 band members engraved on the back. Now Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) has introduced a limited edition leather case made in the iPod U2 Special Edition’s colors — black and red.

The $39.99 case features red and black soft leather with a large red cross on the front. It also fits both fourth and fifth generation iPods, so if you like the look, you don’t absolutely need a U2 edition iPod to get it to fit.

The DLO Cross Case features a protective leather flip-over cover, an inside pocket suitable for storing ID, credit card or cash and a leather-covered belt clip. The play-through design lets you access all iPod controls, dock connector and headphone port.
