Three new 'Get a Mac' ads debut

Apple’s “Get a Mac” television advertising campaign continues with three new ads you can view from their Web site using a QuickTime-enabled Web browser: “Accident,” “Angel and Devil” and “Trust Mac.”

The three ads continue to feature actors Justin Long and John Hodgman as an anthropomorphic Mac and PC, respectively. Shot on a white background, the two actors exchange dialogue outlining the benefits of using a Mac. The ad campaign ties to a section of Apple’s Web site that helps to educate PC owners about why Macs are different.

In “Accident,” a wheelchair and cast-bound Hodgman laments having been dropped off his desk inadvertently when someone got tangled in his power cord; Long lauds the MacBook’s use of the magnetic “MagSafe” power connector. In “Angel/Devil,” Hodgman is tormented by his conscience as he considers tearing apart a photo album Long has printed from iPhoto. And in “Trust Mac,” Long explains to a disguised and paranoid Hodgman that Macs are immune to spyware.
