Kensington offers iPod speakers with FM radio

Kensington Computer Products Group on Monday announced is new FX 300 Speaker To Go and SX 3000R Speaker with Radio for iPod. They cost $29.99 and $179.99 respectively; both are available now.

The FX300 Speaker to Go is designed into a lightweight protective case for the iPod itself. You can adjust volume using an external dial. The case is splash resistant. It’s compatible with all MP3 players — it uses a headphone jack, rather than a dock connector. It is powered by two AAA batteries (included), which provide up to 10 hours of play.

The SX3000R is more specifically designed for an iPod, and features a flat panel design and is very similar to Kensington’s already available SX2000 system. It comes with a remote control that works both with the iPod and the built-in FM radio. The universal dock connector fits all 30-pin dock connector-equipped iPods, including the new iPod nano and video iPod.
