ToughTech mini drive touts triple interface

WiebeTech’s ToughTech mini is a new pocket-sized external hard drive enclosure designed to work with 2.5-inch Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive mechanisms. It features dual FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 connections, and it’s not much larger than a pack of playing cards. It starts at $119.95.

The ToughTech mini includes three different cables, and also includes an AC adapter. It’s bootable on FireWire-based Macs, and comes with “ToughMount” strips that are mounted between the drive and enclosure to reduce shock and noise.

WiebeTech sells the ToughTech mini in a $119.95 “do it yourself” configuration sans hard disk drive. 80GB, 100GB (7200RPM) and 120GB systems are also available, for $228.95, $343.95 and $308.95 respectively.
