TEAC PDrive hard drive features memory card slots

TEAC America has introduced its new PDrive, a multifunction drive, a portable hard disk drive that connects to a Mac or PC using USB 2.0 and also features its own built-in flash memory card slots.

the Pdrive measures 1 x 3 x 4.9 inches and weighs two pounds. You can use the built-in card reader to transfer data from a digital camera or flash-based MP3 player to the hard disk. A prominent LCD display and satus indicator shows the status of any data transfer to the hard drive. The drive is powered by a lithium rechargeable battery.

Supported memory card formats include CompactFlash I and II, MD, SM, MS, MS-PRO, SD, Mini-SD and MMC.

The drive will be available in 40GB, 80GB and 120GB capacities. TEAC did not offer a retail price, but said they would be available beginning December 1, 2006.
