2008 Scions gain iPod connectivity

Toyota’s Scion brand has unveiled its 2008 models, and announced that iPod connectivity is now standard across the product line.

All 2008 Scion models ship with standard 160-watt Pioneer AM/FM/CD audio systems featuring a head unit with iPod control. The head unit displays track, artist and album information from the iPod on a one-line display. The dock connector cable that attaches the iPod to the stereo charges the iPod’s battery, as well.

This is not Scion’s first foray into iPod connectivity on its cars — the company previously offered connections as an option on xA and xB models.
