New USB drives designed for extreme conditions

Corsair on Monday introduced its Flash Survivor line of USB flash drives. The drives are designed for extreme conditions, and come in 4GB and 8GB capacities for $59.99 and $129.99 respectively.

The Flash Survivor drives are encased in Computer Numerical Control (CNC)-milled aluminum and are water resistant to 200 meters. They’re also shock-proof, encased in rubber molded collars. An outer metal tube has two end-caps.

The 8GB model is a “Survivor GT” version; it uses higher speed IC-paired memory and faster controllers.
