Belkin pink iPod cases fund breast cancer research
Belkin International has introduced new pink versions of its Sport Armband and “Hope” Remix Metal cases for the iPod nano. The cases each cost $29.99; they go on sale on May 6, 2007, and a portion of the proceeds go to a breast cancer charity.
Belkin will donate 10 percent of the retail price of each cover sold to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a non-profit organization focused on an end to breast cancer. Belkin has pledged a minimum of $100,000.
The Sport Armband is affixed with pink accents and a pink ribbon (the official color for breast cancer awareness). The armband features a stitchless construction, and it’s hand-washable and water-resistant. The “Hope” Remix Metal case for the iPod nano is made of clear acrylic and brushed metal. It also sports a pink finish and pink ribbon graphic, and uses a soft-touch clickwheel protector.
