Shades color picker gets Lightroom fix

Chromatic Bytes has released Shades 1.1, an update to its addition to the Mac OS X Color Picker. The software is a free update for registered users. It costs $18.

Shades adds an additional pane to the Apple Color Picker and helps you choose colors by showing you grids of related colors. It uses Hue - Saturation - Brightness (HSB) color coordinates to display colors. You simply choose a center color, a step size and a color coordinate. Shades then draws a grid of related colors.

New to this release of shades is the ability to obtain the HTML hex string of a color, and support for Adobe Lightroom.

Shades requires applications that support Apple’s Color Picker. A 30-day trial version is available for download.
