Griffin ships iTrip Pocket

Griffin Technology on Friday released the iTrip Pocket, an FM transmitter for the iPod designed to be even smaller than previous units. It costs $49.99.

The iTrip Pocket measures about the size of a book of matches. It’s designed to match the size and shape of a second generation iPod nano, but it will also work with first generation nanos, as well as fourth and fifth generation iPods.

The device sports “SmartDisplay” technology that shows you what frequency the iPod is tuned to directly on the iPod display itself. You have three preset buttons to select frequently used FM frequencies instantly. It also features stereo/mono mode and other improvements for strong signal and clear sound, according to Griffin.
