CommuniGate offers Flash-based Internet client
CommuniGate Systems on Tuesday introduced Pronto, an Adobe Flash-based client application to access their Internet communications gateway, CommuniGate Pro. The software comes as part of the 25-user license for CommuniGate Pro Enterprise Suite, which costs $849.
CommuniGate Pro acts as a single point of exchange for organizations or workgroups that want to consolidate Internet communications — everything from instant messaging to e-mail, directory services, conferencing, collaboration and more. Pronto provides a Flash-based interface for accessing those services from any computer that supports Adobe Flash 9, Mac and PC alike.
Pronto offers support for e-mail access, contact management, calendaring, secure instant messaging, voicemail management, RSS feeds, photo, video and music. The software works through CommuniGate Pro’s XML Interface for Messaging, Scheduling and Signaling (XIMSS) API. With Pronto accessible through Flash, users have the same interface experience regardless of platform.
