Postmap asset manager updates interface

Studio Network Solutions (SNS) on Thursday announced the release of a new version of Postmap, its Digital Asset Manager (DAM) software for Mac OS X. Postmap costs $429, and a free time-trial version is available for download.

Postmap helps workgroups find files and folders stored on SAN, LAN, CD/DVD, FireWire and USB disks. The software features workflow and metadata management tools, the ability to classify specific files and folders, share production notes and organize projects and media.

New to this release are features requested by users, including a redesigned user interface, new preview dock for auditioning media clips, launch and reveal features for browsing and opening files, and an integrated volume browser for navigating offline storage.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later (client) and Mac OS X v10.4 (server).
