MacSoft ships Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs

MacSoft on Monday announed the release of Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs, an expansion pack for its Macintosh conversion of Age of Empires III. The add-on will hit store shelves on June 25th, and costs $29.99.

Age of Empires III is the real time strategy game from Ensemble Studios, brought to the Mac by MacSoft. In this game, you follow the travels of Morgan Black and his family, first as he makes his way across the Atlantic from Europe to the New World, then as his ancestors migrate westward to seek their fortunes.

The WarChiefs adds the ability to play as native American civilizations, including the Iroquois Confederacy, the Sioux Nation and the Aztecs. Each native American civilization has unique units led by the WarChief unit. A new single-player campaign has also been incorporated, with 15 new missions. Enhancements have been made to European civilizations, and gameplay has been extended with new random maps in unique locations not available in the original game, additional native units and allies, more stats tracking and new ways to play.

Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs is rated T for Teen by the ESRB and is a Universal binary.
