Jawbone Bluetooth Headset to be sold alongside iPhone
Aliph on Tuesday announced that its Jawbone Bluetooth Headset will be sold alongside Apple’s iPhone at 157 Apple retail stores. The Jawbone ( Best Current Price ) will be available at the Apple Stores on June 29, the same day as the iPhone launch.
“The Jawbone is a good complement for iPhone because it is changing things and our technology changes the quality of the user experience too,” Hosain Rahman, Aliph CEO, told Macworld .
According to Aliph, the Jawbone integrates the latest innovations in acoustics, audio processing and product design to provide users with the best incoming and outgoing voice clarity. Using a technology called Noise Shield the headset eliminates background noise and seamlessly adjusts speaker volume throughout the call, resulting in uninterrupted and clearer conversations.
Rahman said that in developing the Noise Shield technology the company decided to test it in the most extreme environments possible. In addition to the regular noisy situations most people find themselves in, the Jawbone has been tested in the M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank and the Black Hawk helicopter.
“If it works in that environment it’s got to work for you,” said Rahman.
The Jawbone features medical grade materials with premium design by internationally acclaimed industrial designer Yves Behar. Design, as well as the technology are important parts of making the product what it is, according to Rahman.
“To me design is about taking the time to make a better user experience,” said Rahman.
