R-U-ON iPhone widget helps IT managers

R-U-ON has released an iPhone-optimized “Web widget” that enables users to monitor their IT infrastructure from their iPhone. It displays network, server and application alarms from the R-U-ON monitoring platform.

R-U-ON is a hosted platform that enables IT managers and service providers to keep an eye on their systems. Although it’s a Software As A Service (SAAS), the technology depends on “agents” you install on your servers to keep an eye on them. The cost of the service ranges from free to $39 per month depending on what level you choose.

The iPhone-optimized widget joins a growing list. The company already provides a Vista gadget, Dashboard widget, Google gadget and Yahoo widget.
