AccuWeather offers iPhone 'widget'

AccuWeather.com on Thursday announced the release of a Web widget especially designed for the iPhone that gives users a 15-day forecast. The Web tool is free.

The widget provides detailed radar and satellite maps, can track three pre-saved locations and provides access to more than 3 million locations worldwide. It also serves up severe weather alerts for U.S. locations. It works on Safari on both the iPhone and the Mac, but it's not IE-compatible, according to AccuWeather.com.

AccuWeather.com also offers free downloads for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger’s” Dashboard, Firefox and Opera Web browsers and tools for Web site makers, as well.
