PocketMac for Windows Mobile 5 & 6 released

Information Appliance Associates (IAA) has announced the release of PocketMac for Windows Mobile 5 & 6, a new version of its sync utility for users of Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs. A free upgrade for existing users, the software costs $29.95.

PocketMac for Windows Mobile 5 & 6 enables users of those devices to synchronize the content of their devices to a Mac, which ordinarily doesn’t work with them. The software syncs Microsoft Entourage, Apple iCal, Address Book and other kinds of data, such as Microsoft World and Excel documents, MP3s and iPhone images over USB.

The new release unifies support for both PDAs and smartphones that use Windows Mobile versions 5 & 6.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, 10MB hard disk space.

IAA advises against installing this new release if you are using devices that rely on an older version of Windows Mobile operating systems.
