Compatibility Update for QuickTime, keyboard update released

Apple has released a Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.2. According to notes provided with the update it “delivers increased compatibility with iLife.” No further details were provided. Apple also released Keyboard Software Update 1.2, allowing users to take advantage of the aluminum Apple Keyboard’s special features.

Apple introduced its latest version — iLife ‘08 — at a special event in August, which also saw revamped iMacs. iLife is made up of the iPhoto digital-image management program; iMovie for editing digital video; iWeb for building Web pages; GarageBand for recording music; and iDVD for creating DVDs.

The Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.2 is available from Apple’s Web site or from the Software Update mechanism in Mac OS X.
