Opus No. 5 'pure audio system' features 400GB storage

Olive Media has introduced Opus No. 5, a new edition of their digital music player designed for audiophiles. The device costs $2,999.

Designed to integrate into a home theater environment, Opus No. 5 features Olive’s “Pure Audio System” (PAS), technology developed with Texas Instruments to provide high-precision audio playback from digital sources. The device incorporates an optical disc reader — you insert audio CDs, click the “Record” button and Opus imports, tags and archives the CD, using a built-in database of more than 2.4 million albums.

Opus No. 5 can be used to build playlists of customized music that you can access using Olive’s accompanying Rondo Web interface, either using a wired or wireless network. It can stream music from or to a Mac or PC. And Opus No. 5 also lets you listen to streaming radio stations broadcast for free over the Internet.
