PhotoVu debuts 22-inch digital picture frame

PhotoVu on Thursday introduced the PV2265w, a new wide-screen LCD panel display designed to work as a a “digital picture frame.” It’s priced starting at $1299.

The PV2265w features a native 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution. Designed for home or office use, PhotoVu’s displays are highly customizable with different mattes and frames, so you can have a real picture frame look. Behind the frame is an interface that lets you plug in a USB drive containing photos you’d like to show. You can also connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi to interface with iPhoto libraries, Google Picasa or RSS feeds containing photos you’d like to see.

The fram supports standard VESA interfaces if you’d like to securely mount the device, and is encased in a lightweight aluminum enclosure. You can also remotely manage the device over the Internet, if you need to.
