Aria Extreme-n card updates Intel Macs to 802.11n

Sonnet has introduced its Aria Extreme-n 802.11n wireless mini-PCIe card. Designed to work with Intel-based Macs that shipped from the factory with 802.11g networking, the new card costs $129.95.

The Aria Extreme-n actually replaces the AirPort Extreme card included in Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Pro and Intel-based iMac and Mac mini systems, mounting in the same slot. Many of those older systems shipped with 802.11g-compliant wireless networking capabilities; some may have shipped without any wireless networking ability at all.

The card also requires you to purchase and install AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enable from Apple. Detailed installation instructions are included.
