Clinical trial software works with iPhone

Nextrials announced Monday that its Prism clinical trial data management system now supports the iPhone. The new support enables researchers to view their clinical trial data any time, anywhere, according to the company.

Prism is an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system used at over 1,000 research sites. It helps streamline the initiation and management of clinical trials performed by biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical makers and more. It assists with everything from subject enrollment to inventory and lab data management, data visualization, query management, reports and metrics, and more.

With Prism on the iPhone, researchers who are using Prism for their clinical trials are able to navigate data and generate reports on the fly, directly from the iPhone.

The company has already equipped its customer service staff with iPhones, to help troubleshoot and with help desk support.
