NetShred update supports Leopard

Mireth Technology has updated NetShred X, its “Internet track eraser” security software for Mac OS X. The new version 4.1, is available for download and costs $24.95.

NetShred X is designed to erase “Internet tracks” you leave behind on your computer, such as cached browser data, browser history and e-mail. The software can run automatically, and will operate in the background so it doesn’t interfere with Web browsing or other computer operations.

Changes to 4.1 include support for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard,” support for Apple’s Safari 3 Web browser, and more custom browser features to add support for almost any browser or e-mail software.
