Honan hacked!

Over the weekend, Mat Honan—a former Macworld staffer and now a senior writer for Wired—made headlines after falling victim to an alarming series of hacks that ended up with his Twitter, Amazon, iCloud, and Gmail accounts compromised, and his iPad, iPhone, and MacBook completely wiped. Unless you’re fascinated by the next iteration of Microsoft Office for Windows or the various names appearing and disappearing from the door of Yahoo’s CEO suite, this is just such a week.

But that doesn’t prevent me from forging ahead and hogging an entire podcast to discuss rumors of an iPad mini, offer my thoughts on my new Google Nexus 7 tablet, provide a tip about mirroring your Mac to an Apple TV, and proffer vacation packing advice. Hodge podgy though it may be, this episode of the podcast has a little something for everyone.

Dan, Lex, and I talk about the features we’re looking forward to, the enhancements we hope Apple will add before iOS 6 ships this fall, and new additions to the mobile OS we just don’t understand at this point. And we’d love to hear about your iOS 6 expectations in the comments section of these shownotes.
