ArcSight Manager security software comes to Mac OS X

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based developer ArcSight has announced a Mac OS X version of their enterprise security management software ArcSight Manager. The server-based application consolidates network-wide alarms and alerts generated by anti-virus, firewall, Web server and other software. It generates and displays reports that allow IT managers to assess threats and take action. Version 3.0, which includes Counteract for port-blocking and other countermeasures, is now available.
