by Peter Cohen, MacCentral

Immersion Corp. on Thursday announced a patent license agreement with Gemini Industries. Under the terms of the license, Gemini will manufacture game controllers for the Macintosh and other platforms that support Immersion's TouchSense force-feedback gaming technology.

Immersion is a leading developer of force-feedback (or haptic) technology used in gaming, medical simulators, industrial research and other industries. Immersion's force-feedback gaming technology has been supported natively in Mac OS X since the release of Mac OS X v10.2.3 in 2002, and is used in a variety of different game controllers and games from various makers.
