4D Inc. has announced the release of 4D Office Object Library. The software binds 4D 2004 objects to Microsoft Office objects without requiring developers to write any code. It’s a free download from 4D’s Web site.
Uses for the new 4D Office Object Library include integration of 4D applications with Apple’s iCal and Address Book applications, to facilitate smartphone and PDA synchronization. You can also integrate with Microsoft Excel 2004. Objects can be dynamically bound at runtime for maximum flexibility, according to the developer, and templates are provided.
