SightSpeed VoIP software gets Intel support

by Peter Cohen, MacCentral

SightSpeed, the Voice over IP (VoIP) service provider, on Monday announced the release of SightSpeed 4.5, a version of the software that runs natively on Macs equipped with Intel processors.

SightSpeed 4.5 features real-time two-way video and voice communications. The software lets you send video mail, publish video content to Web sites, locate other SightSpeed members using a directory and more. In addition to Intel support, the new 4.5 release improves privacy features.

SightSpeed 4.5 for Intel Macs has also been optimized with reduced demand on resources, according to SightSpeed CTO Aron Rosenberg.

SightSpeed offers two different plans — a basic free account that limits video mail to 30 second lengths and video mail storage to 30 days, and a Pro service plan, priced at $4.95 per month, that adds unlimited multi party calls, extends video mail to 60 seconds, and provides storage for video mail for the life of the subscription.
