Firefox fixes Denial of Service vulnerability

by Peter Cohen, MacCentral

The Mozilla Corp. on Tuesday released Firefox 1.5.0.3, a maintenance update to its free and fast Web browser for multiple platforms including Mac OS X. The updated version is available for immediate download from the Firefox Web site and is recommended for all users.

Firefox 1.5.0.3 “is a security update,” according to The Mozilla Corp. The new release corrects a denial of service vulnerability that could cause the browser to crash, and theoretically could be used to run malicious code.

System requirements for Firefox include Mac OS X v10.2 or later.
