Osk genealogy app goes Universal

by Peter Cohen, MacCentral

Studlar Software has released Osk 4.0, a new version of the genealogy software for Mac OS X and Windows. It costs $40.

Osk enables you to enter detailed information about family, friends and celebrities, with birthday, connected media, places of residence, sources for your information and other data. You can plot family trees and track ancestors and descendants. It’s available in English, Icelandic, German, Russian, Portuguese, Norwegian and Swedish.

Osk 4.0 is Universal to support Intel and PowerPC Macs natively, and features “big speed improvements.” Better text reports are generated, importing of data from Gedcom 5.5 has been improved, relatives are now traced easier and other changes have been made as well.

Osk requires Mac OS X v10.2 or later. A trial version is available.
