This dual-2.0 GHz Power Mac G5 is the middle model of the second round of Power Mac G5 models, which were introduced in June 2004. It is largely the same model as the original dual-2.0GHz Power Mac G5, but with a different stock video card.
With Dual G5 processors, the Power Mac G5 is the ultimate tool for creative professionals. The PowerPC architecture was designed from the beginning to run both 32-bit and 64-bit application code. This model is configured with dual 2.0GHz G5 processors, 512KB on-die cache per processor, a 160GB Serial ATA hard drive and 512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (expandable to 8GB). In addition to the 1GHz frontside bus per processor, it features three open full length PCI-X slots, an 8X (max. speed) SuperDrive, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0. For your communications needs, use the 56K V.92 modem or 10/100/1000 Ethernet. It's also ready for you to add optional AirPort Extreme or Bluetooth components. Video is provided by nVidia GeForce FX 5200 8X AGP graphics with 64MB DDR SDRAM, supporting digital resolutions of 1920 x 1200 and analog resolutions of 1600 x 1200. You'll love the digital audio with both analog and optical S/PDIF interfaces. The Power Mac G5 comes with an Apple keyboard and mouse, as well as a USB keyboard extension cable, DVI to VGA adapter, modem cable and AirPort antenna.
