MacBook Air/1.86GHz

The latest changes to Apple's laptop line brings a massive price cut to the MacBook Air. A 1.86GHz model used to cost you $2,499 -- this one costs $1,000 less (and $300 off the old entry-level price), though this configuration features a Serial ATA hard drive and not the solid-state drive of the older model.

Reviewed Full Review

If what you want out of your Mac laptop is the best combination of speed and price, the MacBook Air's not for you. But if the specs that matter most to you are light weight and small size, the MacBook Air is the system for you. If the MacBook Air always appealed to you, but you were turned off by the price tag, it's time to reconsider the Air, now that the price has been reduced.

Pros: Weighs three pounds; thin; full-size keyboard; bright 13-inch display.

Cons: Slower than all other Apple laptops; single USB port limits connectivity.
