Fruitshop's Bone Collection Bone Skin for iPod shuffle is a silicone skin for the first-generation shuffle with a twist: it's shaped like a bone. (Pet owners will immediately recognize its resemblance to chew toys.) The case is available in five color variations, two of which are Dalmatian-spot patterned. The spotted versions come in white/black and pink. The other three are solid white, black, and yellow.

The case opens near the shuffle's USB connector allowing the shuffle to be synced without being removed from the case. The end of the case that slides over the shuffle's USB connector includes its own cover, negating the need to use the one that came with your iPod. Also attached to that end of the case is lanyard, complete with position clip.

The Bone Skin is an interesting take on the iPod shuffle case. As long as you keep it out of reach of curious pets, it's functional and protective.--Derik DeLong
