Covertec continues their tradition of high-quality iPod cases with their first offering for the iPod mini. Like their full-size iPod case, the Mini is an attractive flip case -- meaning the controls and screen are exposed when the flipcover is open, but protected when it's closed -- made of smooth, soft leather with detailed stitching. However, the version for the iPod mini differs from its larger sibling in a few notable ways. Like Pacific Design's mini flip case, another of our favorites, the headphone jack is accessible via a large notch on the top, rather than a hole, which lets you open and close the flipcover without having to unplug your headphones/remote. The cover also closes securely via snaps on the front rather than using a wraparound flap. Finally, instead of a removable plastic belt clip, the mini case's clip is made of leather-wrapped metal and is permanently attached.

The Covertec Mini iPod case is the nicest leather case we've yet seen for the iPod mini, and one of our favorites regardless of style or material.--Dan Frakes
